At launch, Dioma supports only English as the interface and “learner language”: meaning your instructions, grammar explanations, and translations are shown in English and the language you're learning (French, Spanish, or Hebrew.)
We understand this may feel limiting for learners who are not native English speakers, and we want to share why we’ve taken this approach, and what’s coming next.
Why English-only for now?
We made a conscious choice to launch with English as the sole learner language because:
All of our content is human-reviewed. Unlike many platforms that rely on machine or crowd-sourced translations, every grammar explanation, correction rule, and prompt in Dioma is built or reviewed by expert language educators.
No raw translations. We don’t “auto-translate” our content into multiple languages because we believe that weak or inaccurate guidance can slow progress, or worse, create confusion.
Quality over quantity. Maintaining our expert-informed quality across languages takes time, and we want every learner to have the same high-integrity experience.
Are more learner languages coming?
Yes. Expanding beyond English is on our roadmap.
But we’re only going to offer additional learner languages (like German, French, Spanish interfaces, etc.) when we can do so at the same level of quality we’ve validated in English. That means human-reviewed translations, pedagogy-consistent terminology, and culturally-aware instruction.
Our commitment to serious learners
We know serious learners rely on clarity. That’s why we prioritize accuracy and thoughtful guidance over speed or language quantity. If your primary language isn’t English, we know this may be frustrating. And we’re actively working toward broader access, the right way.
