How much should I use Dioma each day?

Answer: It depends on your goals and schedule, but most learners make meaningful progress with 20–30 minutes of practice, 3–4 times per week. Dioma's default session length is 20 minutes, which you can adjust in your settings to match your needs.

Recommended schedules by goal:

  • 20–30 minutes, 3 times per week This pace works well for maintaining progress without burnout. It's enough to reinforce skills, build confidence, and make measurable gains over time while balancing other commitments.

  • 30 minutes daily A consistent daily habit compounds quickly. This schedule is effective if you're working to break through the intermediate plateau or want to feel more fluent in everyday conversation. Regular practice strengthens active recall and helps patterns solidify faster.

  • 30–60 minutes daily If you're preparing for a certification exam (DELE, DELF, TEF) or need professional fluency for work, more intensive sessions provide the repetition and feedback necessary for rapid progress. Dioma's structured curriculum keeps you focused on exam-relevant content or professional communication skills.

Why not "just 5 minutes a day"?

Because meaningful language practice requires focus and engagement. Dioma isn't designed for passive scrolling or streak-chasing. Each session involves active output: writing, speaking, and receiving detailed feedback, which takes concentrated effort.

Five-minute sessions don't allow enough time to complete exercises, process corrections, and internalize patterns. Dioma is built for learners who want measurable progress, and we structure sessions to make every minute count.

Adjusting your session length:

You can change your target session length in Settings > Learning Preferences > Session Duration. Choose between 15, 20, 30, or 40-minute sessions. The system will adjust the number of exercises in your daily plan to match your selected length.

Dioma is built for learners who've outgrown the basics. Structured curriculum, smart feedback, real progress. Try it free for 7 days.
